Down by the Sally Gardens

Down by the salely gardens（又译“经柳园而下”） 是爱尔兰著名诗人William Butler Yeats写的诗，后为人们谱曲

salley是爱尔兰语saileach,即willow(柳)之意

听了两楼半推荐的版本，记忆中也收藏了这首，与听友之前推荐的有所不同，所以推上来让大家欣赏

Down by the Salley Gardens my love and I did meet
She passed the Salley Gardens with little snow-white feet

She bid me take love easy as the leafes grow on the tree
But I being young and foolish with her did not agree
In a field by the river my love and I did stand
And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand
She bid me take life easy as the grass grows on the weirs
But I was young and foolish and now am full of tears

译：

我曾和我的挚爱相遇在莎园中
她踏著雪白的纤纤玉足，轻轻走过莎园
她要我简单的追求真爱，就像大树长出树叶一般自然
但我是那么的年轻愚笨，从来没有听从过她的心声

我曾和我的挚爱并肩伫立在河畔的旷野上

她把她嫩白的小手，搭在我那微微倾斜的肩膀上
她要我简单的去生活，就像那生长在河畔的韧草一般
