歌曲 《Komm, süsser Tod》德文标题，意为“来吧，甜美的死亡”。歌词原以日文写出，再译为英文唱出。这一首歌是配EVA《Air/まごこる、君に》中的第三次冲击那一段。英文歌词比较隐晦，日文歌词则明白显示这首歌是唱出真嗣的心境：不愿再与人心接触、不愿再喜欢任何人、不愿再伤害任何人、希望回归无有……。因此第三次冲击发生了，所有的心之壁溃决，不必再去提防任何人、不会再伤害到任何人，不再有生老病死，也没有时间空间了……。不过后段插入的摇滚现场演唱会般的音效，欢快的节奏与极度的悲哀气氛形成强大的对比，使人产生更强的心里冲击。
伴随着“人类补完计划”的执行，就是这曲Komm,süsser Tod了，悲哀，甚至绝望到了极点，但与之匹配的乐曲却没有蕴涵一丝悲哀的气氛，相反的，平静，甚至可以用欢愉一词来形容。在全人类失去物质形态的同时，给人的感觉似乎并不是什么残酷的现实，而感觉的确是在完成某种神圣的仪式。全人类就这样静静地淹没在歌声里了，每一个人，每一个人“死”之前都会切身体验到自己最为向往，最为美好的一瞬，“这就是心的……补完吗？”也许对人类而言，这也许就是盼望已久，最美好、最自然的结局吧……
