本片讲1980年1月4日，69岁的乔伊。亚当森突然死在肯尼亚东北部的自然保护区里，

最初的消息说她是被狮子咬死的，后来警方查明她是被当地一个牧人杀害的。

这恰恰证明了她生前说过的一句话：“可怕的不是动物，而是人！”
